The HMRS Scholarship Committee is now accepting applications for 2018 scholarships from regular members of the Hudson Mohawk Chapter of the American Recorder Society.
Members in good standing of HMRS may submit an application for a scholarship on or before March 15, 2018. The application should clearly state the intended use of the scholarship stipend, the estimated total cost of the activity and a listing of all HMRS members who will share the funding (if applicable). Scholarship awards will be announced on April 15, 2018. Scholarship requests may also be submitted at any time prior to March 15 of each year and considered after March 15 for retroactive funding for activities undertaken during the preceding grant year, funding for which was not previously requested. Availability of retroactive funding will depend upon fund balances.
Scholarships shall be awarded primarily to support skill development and knowledge growth in the area of recorders and recorder music, both early and contemporary. Examples of qualifying activities include private recorder lessons, consort coaching, workshop attendance and certain other outreach activities conducted by HMRS chapter members.
Awardees will be expected to submit a brief report of their funded activity following its completion.

Our annual dues are only $40
If you can only make a few meetings, you can pay a drop-in fee of $5 per session.
Guests may visit for one free session to try us out, after which we ask you to pay the $5 session fee.

A small processing fee of $1 will be added.
